Abstract:
This adsorbent material for a purine base contains a 2:1 type laminar clay mineral represented by formula [(E1m+ a/mE2+ b)(M1cM2d)(Si4-eAle)O10(OHfF2-f)] and/or a derivative thereof. In the formula, m is an integer between 2 and 4, a to f satisfy the inequalities 0.2 ≤ a+b < 0.75, a ≠ 0, 0 ≤ b, 0 ≤ c ≤ 3, 0 ≤ d ≤ 2, 2 ≤ c+d ≤ 3, 0 ≤ e < 4, and 0 ≤ f ≤ 2, E1 is an element that serves as a polyvalent cation between layers and is selected from among Mg, Al, Si, Sc, Ca, Cr, Sr, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr and Ba, E2 is an element that serves as a monovalent cation between layers and is selected from among Na, Li and K, M1 is an element selected from among Mg, Fe, Mn, Ni, Zn and Li, M2 is an element selected from among Al, Fe, Mn and Cr, and M1 and M2 together form an octahedral sheet.
