An air conditioner refrigerant detecting device, comprising a main control module, an inlet air temperature detecting module for detecting the temperature of an air inlet of an air conditioner, an outlet air temperature detecting module for detecting the temperature of an air outlet of the air conditioner, an electric energy metering and detecting module for detecting the working power of the air conditioner, a power supply module, and an indicating device. By detecting the temperature of the air inlet, the temperature of the air outlet, and the working power of the air conditioner in real time, the insufficiency of an air conditioner refrigerant can be determined according to the working power of the air conditioner and the temperature difference between the air inlet and outlet, and then a user is prompted, by means of the indicating device, that the air conditioner needs to be maintained, so that the state of the air conditioner refrigerant can be known in a timely manner without the detection of a maintenance staff coming to the home and without the mounting of a pressure meter on an outdoor unit for detecting whether the quantity of the refrigerant is within a standard range, thereby saving the manpower and material resources.
