Abstract:
An air conditioner having: an injection pipe for injecting a liquid refrigerant into the suction side of a compressor; a liquid refrigerant supply device that is provided between a heat-source-side heat exchanger and usage-side heat exchangers, and that supplies to the injection pipe the liquid refrigerant, of the refrigerant flowing between the heat-source-side heat exchanger and the usage-side heat exchangers; a flow volume control device that is provided on the injection pipe, and that reduces the pressure of the liquid refrigerant supplied from the liquid refrigerant supply device, thereby converting the liquid refrigerant to a gas-liquid two-phase state, and that controls the flow volume of the refrigerant supplied to the suction side of the compressor; and a control means that controls the degree of opening of the flow volume control device. The control means controls the degree of opening of the flow volume control device on the basis of the discharge temperature detected by a discharge temperature sensor, and when the number of the usage-side heat exchangers which are performing a heating operation decreases, the control means controls the degree of opening of the flow volume control device in accordance with the percentage change in the number of units in operation.
