Abstract:
An air conditioner includes: an outdoor unit having a compressor and a heat source side heat exchanger; at least one indoor unit having a load side heat exchanger; at least one empty circuit having piping for connecting the load side heat exchanger; and a branching device having first branch circuits for branching one end of piping from the outdoor unit into each indoor unit and each empty circuit, second branch circuits for branching the other end of the piping from the outdoor unit into each indoor unit and each empty circuit, throttle devices each provided in each first branch circuit, and on-off valves each provided in each second branch circuit. The throttle device provided in each first branch circuit connected to the empty circuit and the on-off valve provided in each second branch circuit connected to the empty circuit are closed.
