Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner that can deliver improved cooling capacity. The air conditioner is characterized by comprising: an intake passage through which flows air drawn in via an intake port; a dispersion part that disperses water to undergo evaporation; a first passage through which flows first air that is cooled by the heat used in the evaporation of the water dispersed by the dispersion part; a heat exchanger that transfers heat between the first air and the air flowing through the intake passage, thereby cooling the air flowing through the intake passage; and a branching mechanism, positioned downstream of the heat exchanger in the intake passage, that branches the intake passage into at least two passages, including the first passage and a second passage through which flows second air that is discharged into the space to be air-conditioned. The air conditioner is also characterized in that the branching mechanism contains a blowing part that splits the air flowing through the intake passage, blowing said air into the first passage and the second passage.
