Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an air conditioner that achieves both reduction of discomfort experienced by a user and suppression of microbial growth. To address this problem, provided is an air conditioner 1 equipped with an indoor unit 3, which is installed in a room and includes an indoor heat exchanger 31, the air conditioner 1 comprising an operation control device 50 that performs heating operation for maintaining the interior of the indoor unit 3 at a predetermined temperature or higher and a predetermined humidity or lower for a predetermined time. The air conditioner 1 is equipped with a sensor 34 that measures the temperature, or the temperature and humidity, in the room where the indoor unit 3 is installed, and the operation control device 50 is configured to perform heating operation on the basis of the temperature and humidity in the room.
