Abstract:
An air conditioner comprising a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, and an outdoor heat exchanger, wherein: the outdoor heat exchanger includes first and second heat exchangers; a controller serves to perform a heating operation, in which the first and second heat exchangers function as evaporators and the indoor heat exchanger functions as a condenser, and a heating-defrosting operation, in which either one of the first and second heat exchangers functions as an evaporator whereas the other one thereof functions as a condenser and the indoor heat exchanger functions as a condenser; and the controller reduces the rotational speed of an indoor fan when a second temperature is lower than a first temperature and the difference between the first and second temperatures is greater than or equal to a first preset value, the first temperature being the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger detected by a temperature detector at the start of the heating-defrosting operation, the second temperature being the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger detected by the temperature detector during the heating-defrosting operation.
