Abstract:
This air conditioner is provided with an outdoor unit, multiple indoor units, and a relay unit. The indoor units have a flow adjustment device and an indoor control device. The relay unit has a relay heat exchanger, a circulation device and a relay control device. If at least one indoor unit has started operation, the relay control device determines whether the flow rate of the heat medium flowing into the relay heat exchanger is greater than or equal to a minimum flow rate, and, if the flow rate is less than the minimum flow rate, sends an indoor control device of an indoor unit that is in a stopped state an open instruction signal instructing increasing the degree of opening of the flow adjustment device. The indoor control device increases the degree of opening of the flow adjustment device according to the received open instruction signal.
