Abstract:
Providing better living conditions for the residents of hot dry climates has always been a challenge; as well as, the high energy consumption for air conditioning in buildings is a serious concern due to its consequences on the earth's ecological life. The present invention is looking forward to preparing living conditions in the related climate. For discovering the best solution, it was tried to make a connection between nature and buildings. Accordingly, using the nature for the sake of nature is considered as one of the best solutions for this challenge. The challenge is how to design a sustainable bio-inspired system, that can provide natural ventilation in hot and dry climates. Therefore, by seeking the nature, the nasal turbinate of camels was recognized as an important element for studying. The nasal turbinate of camel, due to its adaption strategies, including: morphological and physiological, is a suitable place for dust absorbing, air humidifying and cooling. Accordingly, this appliance presents a new bio-inspired and eco-friendly air conditioning and dust absorbing system, in the form of prefabricated wall for the desert buildings.
