Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an air purifier which is compact and low in cost but can exhibit excellent purification capacity. [Solution] An air purifier 1A comprising a storage tank 10a formed in a lower part inside a housing 10 to store purification water 100, a water wheel 20 which is a liquid droplet generation means that forms the purification water 100 into liquid droplets, and a gas-liquid contact chamber 10b formed above the storage tank 10a inside the housing 10 to perform purification by exposing introduced gas to the purification water 100 formed into liquid droplets and diffused by the water wheel 20, the air purifier 1A releasing purified gas to the outside while storing liquid droplets containing contaminants removed from the gas in the storage tank 10a for cyclic usage. The water wheel 20 is driven to rotate with a part thereof immersed to a predetermined depth in the purification water 100 stored in the storage tank 10a, thereby generating airborne liquid droplets and diffusing the liquid droplets throughout the gas-liquid contact chamber 10b, and at the same time mixing and diffusing air bubbles into the purification water 100 in the storage tank 10a.
