Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an aircraft tire in which both a light weight and separation durability of carcass ply ends are achieved simultaneously.
An aircraft tire 10 is provided with a pair of bead cores 1, and a carcass 2 extending between the pair of bead cores 1, wherein: the carcass 2 includes at least one layer of a turn-up ply 2a comprising a main body portion 2aa and a folded-back portion 2ab, and at least one layer of a down ply 2b which covers the outside, in the width direction of the tire, of the folded-back portion 2ab of the turn-up ply 2a, and which extends at least as far as the inside, in the radial direction of the tire, of the bead core 1; rubber/cord reinforcing members 6 are disposed respectively between the main body portion 2aa of the outermost layer of the turn-up ply 2a, and the folded-back portion of the turn-up ply 2ab that extends furthest to the outside in the radial direction of the tire, and between the folded-back portion 2ab of the turn-up ply 2a that extends furthest to the outside in the radial direction of the tire, and the innermost layer of the down ply 2b; and the elongation at break of the cord in the rubber/cord reinforcing members 6 is at least equal to 30%.
