Abstract:
This aluminum alloy, for an extruded element pipe (1) provided with an inner surface linear groove, is for the production of pipes provided with an inner surface helical groove. When D (mm) and t (mm) respectively represent the outer diameter and bottom wall thickness of the extruded element pipe (1) provided with an inner surface linear groove, and when W (mm) and h (mm), respectively represent the width and height of each internal fin (3) formed on the inner surface of the extruded element pipe (1) provided with an inner surface linear groove, h/W equals 0.7 or more and D/t equals 26 or more. The alloy has a compositional make-up containing 0.35-0.55 mass% of Si, at most 0.15 mass% of Cu, 0.45-0.65 mass% of Mg, at most 0.05 mass% of Mn, 0.71-1.03 mass% of Mg2Si, and 0.08-0.29 mass% of excess Si, the balance being incidental impurities and aluminum.
