Abstract:
The present invention is an anti-fouling coating that is characterized by being formed from a water-based coating composition that comprises: 0.1-10 mass% of ultrafine silica particles having an average particle size of 25 nm or less; 5-50 mass% relative to the ultrafine silica particles of at least one type of zirconium compound that is selected from between zirconium chloride and zirconyl chloride; and 30-99.5 mass% of water. The present invention makes it possible to provide an anti-fouling coating that is capable of maintaining anti-fouling performance and hydrophilicity while preventing fin corrosion even in an environment in which there is a large amount of contaminants such as metal particles in the air.
