Abstract:
Provided is an antiglare film-equipped transparent base material suitable to be arranged on an image display side of an image display device. An antiglare film-equipped transparent base material 100 comprises: a transparent base material 10; and an antiglare film 20 provided thereon, wherein the antiglare film 20 contains particles and a matrix 2. The particles are, for example, plate-shaped particles 1 which have a thickness of 0.3-3 nm and the main surfaces of which have an average diameter of 10-1,000 nm. The matrix 2 includes a silicon oxide. In the antiglare film 20, the main surfaces of the plate-shape particles may be arranged almost in parallel with the main surface of the transparent base material 10.
