Abstract:
This apparatus for detecting the positions of a seam portion and a heated portion in a welded steel pipe detects the position of a seam portion in a welded steel pipe and the position of a heated portion generated due to the seam portion and/or the vicinity thereof being heated, the apparatus comprising: an irradiation means for radiating light; an imaging device for capturing a first image of the seam portion and heated portion in which these portions are irradiated with the light, and a second image of the seam portion and heated portion in which these portions are not irradiated with light; and a control device that controls the radiation of light by the irradiation means and the imaging timing of the imaging device.
