Abstract:

The present invention provides an apparatus for folding a pouch which has a first cup portion and a second cup portion that are recessed in a concave shape so as to accommodate an electrode assembly, wherein a first peripheral portion is formed flat along the perimeter of the first cup portion, and a second peripheral portion is formed flat along the perimeter of the second cup portion. The apparatus is characterized by comprising: a lower nest on which the first cup portion is placed; an upper nest on which the second cup portion is placed; a guide composed of a first guide, which is fixed to the lower nest and has an upwardly protruding first protrusion, and a second guide, which is fixed to the upper nest and has an upwardly protruding second protrusion, wherein the first guide and the second guide can be brought close together or separated from each other and have protruding support protrusions; and a pressing part for pressing a connection portion between the first peripheral portion and the second peripheral portion against the support protrusions when the first cup portion and the second cup portion are placed on the lower nest and the upper nest, respectively. The upper nest rotates so that the second cup portion is folded over the first cup portion in a state in which the pressing part has pressed the connection portion against the support protrusions.
