Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing an animal carcass and provides an apparatus for processing an animal carcass, comprising: a disposal chamber in which a target animal is killed; an upstream conveyor which transports the carcass of the animal killed in the disposal chamber in the upstream direction; a grinding unit which grinds the animal carcass transported by the upstream conveyor; a transportation unit which is disposed on the lower part of the grinding unit and transports carcass fragments cut by the grinding unit while performing primary heating; and a dehydration unit which dehydrates the carcass fragments transported from the transport unit, sterilizes the same by performing secondary heating, and ejects the sterilized carcass fragments to the outside. The present invention as described above allows a large quantity of dead animals to be rapidly processed in a state that is safe from infectious diseases without burying the dead animals while complying with animal protection laws when euthanizing the animals. Also, the present invention allows the animal carcass to be utilized as biomass or animal-based protein feeds, and thus is environmentally-friendly and cost-effective while complying with animal protection law.
