Abstract:
An application server access method and a terminal, relating to the technical field of communications. In the case that an application server cannot well support IPv6, the situation of repeated failure caused by the fact that a terminal repeatedly preferentially uses an IPv6 address to connect to the application server is avoided, thereby improving the user online experience. The method specifically comprises: recognizing a problem scenario where the terminal fails to connect to the application server by using the IPv6 address, and setting a domain name accessed in the problem scenario to be a restricted domain name, and directly using an IPv4 address to connect to the application server when subsequently accessing the first domain name again.
