Abstract:
An aqueous liquid of a treatment agent for carbon fiber precursors according to the present invention is configured to contain water and a treatment agent for carbon fiber precursors, said treatment agent containing an amino-modified silicone and a specific nonionic surfactant having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 1.05 to 1.50. The amino-modified silicone may have a kinematic viscosity of from 50 to 4,000 mm2/s at 25°C. A carbon fiber precursor according to the present invention is obtained by having the above-described treatment agent for carbon fiber precursors adhered thereto.
