Abstract:
Provided is an article having a surface layer, the article exhibiting exceptional properties for removing fingerprint stains from the surface layer, exceptional wear resistance, and exceptional close adhesion to a protective film. An article having a surface layer, the article being characterized by including a substrate and a surface layer provided to the surface of the substrate, and moreover being characterized in that: the surface layer includes groups in which -O- is present between carbon atoms in a C2 or higher fluoroalkyl group; and when glass that includes 4.96 mass% of fluorine atoms is used as a standard sample, the intensity of fluorine atoms in the surface layer and the intensity of fluorine atoms in the standard sample are each measured using a fluorescent X-ray analysis device, and the intensity of the fluorine atoms in the surface layer is divided by the intensity of the fluorine atoms in the standard sample, the resultant standardized F intensity is 0.38-0.53.
