Abstract:
Provided is an article recovery device which easily detects that a foreign object has been inserted using an outer door, if a foreign object is inserted. Furthermore, provided is an article recovery device which is capable of measuring, with high accuracy, the mass of an article placed in a placement part. The article recovery device is provided with: a placement part in which an article can be placed; a measurement unit which supports the placement part; and an outer door which is formed outside of the support range of the measurement unit, and which opens and closes such that the placement part can be exposed. Furthermore, the outer door is formed so as to move from an open position towards the placement part into a closed position. Moreover, the article recovery device is provided with a control unit for controlling movement of the outer door. When the outer door is moved from the open position to the closed position, and the measurement unit detects a change in a measurement value, the control unit implements control for stopping the movement of the outer door from the open position to the closed position.
