Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an article storage cabinet in which multiple articles can be placed in a row by a bucket without stacking, and from which multiple items can be purchased at once. [Solution] A vending machine that allows multiple items to be purchased at once and in which merchandise is stocked in a plurality of columns arranged in rows in the vertical and horizontal directions, the machine comprising: a dispensing mechanism 55 for dispensing an article forward from the columns; a bucket, provided in front of the columns, comprising a conveyor belt upon which the article dispensed from the columns is placed; a bucket vertical movement mechanism 81 for moving the bucket up and down; a merchandise horizontal movement mechanism 75 for operating the conveyor belt in the horizontal direction; a merchandise purchasing operation panel 82; and a control unit 90, multiple items of merchandise dispensed from the columns being placed in the bucket and delivered in a bundle to a retrieval position, wherein: when multiple items are being purchased at once, the control unit 90 controls the operation of the dispensing mechanism 55, the merchandise horizontal movement mechanism 75, and the bucket vertical movement mechanism 81 on the basis of selections made using the merchandise purchasing operation panel 82.
