Title:
ARTIFICIAL FISHWAY FOR MIGRATION OF FISH IN HYDRAULIC FACILITIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/052892
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an artificial fishway for the migration of fish in hydraulic facilities. A first aspect of the present invention relates to a structure provided at an underwater weir (8) of a river in order to allow homing fish to move upstream the river across the underwater weir (8), and having a plate-shaped flow rate reducer (4) provided inside a U-shaped water pipe (2) in order to regulate the flow rate of the inside of the U-shaped water pipe (2), wherein the plate-shaped flow rate reducer (4) has: a left plate (4a) and a right plate (4b) attached to the bottom surface of the U-shaped water pipe (2); and an outflow hole (4c) allowing river water to flow out from the inside of the plate to the outside thereof when the river water flows between the left plate (4a) and the right plate (4b) of the plate-shaped flow rate reducer (4). In addition, a second aspect of the present invention relates to a pipe (102) type artificial fishway (101) having a funnel-shaped flow rate reducer (104') provided inside a pipe (102) in a funnel shape inverted toward the flow direction of the river water, and provided in order to supply the river water from the pipe (102) by using an underwater pump (111) for the pipe such that the homing fish move upstream the river across a dam, wherein the funnel-shaped flow rate reducer (104') has several outflow holes (104d) at the outside of a funnel such that the homing fish swim from a funnel entrance (104b) to a funnel exit (104c) by generating a difference in water pressure between an upper side (104e) and a lower side (104f) of the funnel. Therefore, the artificial fishway of a U-shaped water pipe type is provided, thereby reducing the flow rate of the inside of the U-shaped water pipe by means of the plate-shaped flow rate reducer such that the homing fish can easily move upstream the underwater weir through the artificial fishway having the U-shaped water pipe. In addition, the present invention can allow the homing fish such as salmon, sweetfish, and dace to move upstream the river even though the total length of the U-shaped water pipe is short and an installation area is small. Furthermore, the present invention can reduce the flow rate of the pipe by means of the funnel-shaped flow rate reducer even when the pipe-type artificial fishway is provided at the high-head dam.
