Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a washing machine, comprising: a first sensing step of obtaining the amount of laundry accommodated in a washing tub; a step of selecting any one washing course from among a plurality of washing courses including a first washing course of performing washing according to a washing mode configured on the basis of the amount of the laundry and a second washing course of performing washing according to a washing mode configured on the basis of a state of the laundry; and a step of performing the selected washing course, wherein the second washing course comprises a second sensing step of using, as input data of an input layer of the artificial neural network learned in advance through machine learning, a current value applied to a motor that rotates the washing tub while the washing tub is rotated in an acceleratory manner, thereby obtaining a state of the laundry through an output from an output layer of an artificial neural network, and in the step of selecting the washing course, any one washing course from among the plurality of washing courses is selected on the basis of the first amount of laundry obtained in the first sensing step, such that suitable washing is performed according to the characteristics of laundry inserted into the washing tub.
