Abstract:
An assembly (100) comprises a parallel robot (101) and a servo spindle (102). The parallel robot (101) is adapted to be mounted onto an end flange (301) of a joint robot (30) and includes one or more axes. The servo spindle (102) is mounted on the parallel robot (101) and configured to drive a machining tool (103) to rotate. The parallel robot (101) is configured to drive the servo spindle (102) to translate along one or more axes relative to the parallel robot (101). In the machining process, the joint robot (30) can remain stationary at a specific position, and only the parallel robot (101) drives the servo spindle (102) to translate along one or more axes. In this way, the flexibility and stiffness of machining can be improved under the condition of meeting the machining accuracy. An apparatus for machining a mechanical part is further disclosed.
