An audio processing device may: acquire, from first audio signals corresponding to channels included in a first channel group, second audio signals corresponding to channels included in a second channel group; downsample, by using an artificial intelligence model, at least one third audio signal corresponding to at least one channel which, among the channels included in the first channel group, has been identified on the basis of the degree of association with the second channel group; and generate a bitstream comprising the at least one downsampled third audio signal and the second audio signals corresponding to the channels included in the second channel group. The first channel group comprises a channel group of an original audio signal, and the second channel group is configured by combining at least two channels among the channels included in the first channel group.
