Abstract:
The present invention relates to an augmented reality optical device using total reflection, and provides an augmented reality optical device using total reflection, comprising an optical means for transmitting, toward the pupils of user's eyes, at least a part of actual object image light, which is image light emitted from an actual object, wherein the inside of the optical means has a total reflection space for transmitting, toward the pupils of the user's eyes, augmented reality image light emitted from an image emitting unit, the total reflection space is filled with a medium having a refractive index smaller than the refractive index of the optical means, and the augmented reality image light transmitted to the total reflection space through the inside of the optical means is fully reflected in the total reflection space so as to be transmitted toward the pupils of the user's eyes.
