Abstract:
An automatic separating protective cover for a pitot tube of a civil aircraft. When a plane lands, the ground crew first fits an inner shell (5) to the inner end of a pitot tube (2) by means of a groove Ⅲ (13), and next, fits an outer shell (4) to the outer end of the pitot tube (2) by means of a groove I (6); the outer shell (4) is fixed to the inner shell (5) by inserting catches (14) into slots (15); and the protection of the pitot tube (2) is realized after the outer shell (4) is fixed to the inner shell (5). If the ground crew do not remove the outer shell (4) and inner shell (5) when an aircraft takes off, a separating device would separate the inner shell (5) and the outer shell (4) from each other once the take-off speed is greater than or equal to 200 Km/h, and the inner shell (5) and the outer shell (4) fall off under the action of gravity so as to realize the purpose of automatic separation, thus ensuring the normal operation of the pitot tube (2).
