Abstract:
An automatic transmission is provided with the following: a regulator valve (51) for adjusting line pressure; oil passages (a3-a5, d1, d2, f1) capable of providing line pressure to a hydraulic servo (61) of a clutch (C-1); second oil passages (c1-c5) for providing oil pressure from the regulator valve (51) to a lubrication circuit (46) by way of an oil cooler (45); and third oil passages (b2, b3, c4, c5) that merge with the second oil passages and provide oil pressure generated by an electric oil pump (32) to the lubrication circuit (46). A first check ball valve (43) is provided for preventing back flow from the merge point (X) to an oil cooler (45). When oil pressure is provided to the lubrication circuit (46) from the electric oil pump (32), a large amount of oil is prevented from flowing into the oil cooler (45).
