Abstract:
The present invention relates to an automatic transmission and, more specifically, to an automatic transmission which enables gear changes and forward or backward movement without using an additional device, comprising: comprises: an input shaft rotationally provided to a fixed shaft; a hub housing into which the input shaft is inserted; a first clutch of which one side is provided to the input shaft and the other side is provided to the hub housing;
a planetary gear part including a carrier having a planetary gear to be engaged between a ring gear formed on the inner wall of the hub housing and a sun gear formed on the input shaft; and a second clutch of which one side is provided to the planetary gear part and the other side is provided to the hub housing, wherein the first clutch and the second gear are one-way clutches to be locked in the opposite direction from each other such that the second clutch is released before the first clutch when the hub housing rotates in the backward direction, and thereby enabling backward movement since the hub housing can rotate in the backward direction.
