Abstract:
This axial blower (18) is equipped with a rotary shaft (9), a propeller fan (8), a squirrel cage rotor (3), and a stator. The propeller fan (8) is connected to at least one end of the rotary shaft (9). The squirrel cage rotor (3) is integrated with the outer circumference of the rotary shaft (9) and has multiple conductor bars (5). The stator is positioned so as to face the squirrel cage rotor (3), and armature coils (2) are wound around the stator. The armature coils (2) are connected to a commercial AC power source (20) via commercial AC power source connection parts (16). The squirrel cage rotor (3) is provided with permanent magnets (6) at positions where the permanent magnets and the stator sandwich the conductor bars (5). The axial blower (18) operates at a constant rotating speed in synchronization with the power-supply frequency of the commercial AC power source (20) in the range between zero external static pressure and substantially the maximum external static pressure.
