Abstract:
Provided is an azimuth thruster-type ship capable of suppressing worsening of fuel consumption and capable of improving course-keeping performance in an azimuth thruster-type ship comprising an azimuth thruster. The azimuth thruster-type ship has: an azimuth thruster provided on the stern side of the hull; a center skeg arranged on the center line in the width direction of the bilge of the hull; and a course-keeping performance improvement device arranged on a side surface of the center skeg. The course-keeping performance improvement device is arranged so as to have a gap between same and the center skeg and the bilge, and has: a plate section that is shorter in a direction parallel to the center line than the center skeg; and a coupling section that couples the plate section and the center skeg, providing a gap between the plate section and the center skeg.
