Abstract:
Provided is a badminton racket wherein, when a shaft thereof breaks, separation at the position of the break can be avoided. A racket (10) according to the present invention comprises: a frame (13) that extends in a ring shape; a grip (11); and a shaft (12) that links the frame and the grip. The shaft comprises an innermost layer (21) and a shaft-forming layer (22) stacked to the outside of the innermost layer. The shaft is formed by overlapping and wrapping a plurality of sheets (S) of fibrous reinforcing material impregnated with resin. The plurality of sheets comprises an innermost layer sheet (S01) that forms the innermost layer, and shaft-forming sheets (S11–S13) which form the shaft-forming layer and in which the reinforcing material is carbon fibers. The reinforcing material in the innermost layer sheet is ultra-high-density polymer fibers.
