Abstract:
Provided is a pipe-type (including half-pipe-type) ball screw, wherein balls can be scooped out in the tangential direction of a load ball rolling groove of a nut or in a direction near to the tangential direction. Formed in the outer surface of a nut (2) are holes (7a, 7b) communicated with a load ball rolling groove (2a) in the inner surface of the nut (2). The end parts (4a, 4b) of a circulating component (4) are inserted through the holes (7a, 7b) of the nut (2). A flat surface part (28) is formed in at least part of the wall surfaces of the holes (7a, 7b) of the nut (2). The end parts (4a, 4b) of the circulating component (4) open toward the flat surface part (28). Part of a return passage (22) is configured by the end parts (4a, 4b) of the circulating component (4) and the flat surface part (28) of the nut (2).
