Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a base material film which is for a surface protection film and which has excellent fingerprint authenticity even when it is used as a surface protection member of an image display device having a fingerprint authentication system; the surface protection film; and the image display device. This base material film for the surface protection film of the image display device equipped with the fingerprint authentication sensor satisfies the following (1) to (4): (1) the base material film is a polyester film having an easily adhesive layer on at least one surface; (2) the slow axis variation of the base material film is 7°/m or less; (3) the base material film has retardation of 3000-30000 nm; and (4) the Nz coefficient of the base material film is 2.5 or less.
