A battery assembly, which is used for combining with an atomization assembly to form an electronic cigarette. The battery assembly comprises a battery (2). One end of the battery assembly which is at a distance from the atomization assembly is provided with a first charging electrode (100) and a second charging electrode (200) which are electrically connected to the battery (2). The first charging electrode (100) is provided with a clamping structure which is used for connecting with an external charger and is located on the outer surface of the battery assembly. The first charging electrode (100) and the second charging electrode (200) are used for electrically connecting with the charger and providing a charging power supply for the battery (2). By designing the clamping structure to be on the first charging electrode, when charging is conducted, only an end cover part needs to be directly inserted into the charger, the battery is directly connected to the charger through the clamping structure, and the battery can provide the charging power supply by connecting the first charging electrode and the second charging electrode with corresponding charging ends of the external charger. Such a charging method has a simple operation and saves time. Also provided is an electronic cigarette.
