Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a battery management device and method, which can perform a battery cell balancing operation without consuming power from an auxiliary battery of a target device in a power-off state of the target device; and a battery management system, and the battery management device according to one embodiment can comprise: a detection unit for detecting an operating state of the target device; a power management unit for managing the supply of power from the auxiliary battery on the basis of the operating state of the target device; and a control unit for performing cell balancing operations for a plurality of battery cells according to an operation mode determined on the basis of the operating state of the target device.
