Abstract:
A battery management device, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise: a SOH calculation unit which calculates the SOH of each of a plurality of battery cells; and a battery-cell-to-be-balanced determination unit which selects, as a second battery cell, a battery cell having a SOC such that the difference between said SOC and the SOC of a first battery cell having the lowest SOC among the plurality of battery cells is equal to or higher than a reference value, and which determines a battery cell to be balanced by comparing the SOH of the first battery cell with the SOH of the second battery cell.
