Abstract:
Disclosed is a battery pack configured to be capable of effectively suppressing the occurrence of fire even when high-temperature gas or sparks are generated from a portion of battery modules. A battery pack according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: one or more battery modules having one or more secondary batteries and configured to store and release energy; a duct that is provided on at least one side of the battery modules, has an outlet, and is configured such that when gas is generated from the battery modules, the generated gas can flow in the direction of the outlet; and an opening/closing member located at the outlet of the duct, and configured to open the outlet when the internal pressure of the duct is higher than or equal to a certain level and close the outlet when the internal pressure of the duct is lower than or equal to the certain level.
