Abstract:

A behavior disturbance inducing agent for harmful insects, comprising an organic ester compound whose vapor pressure is on the order of 10^-3 Pa (25°C) or below as an active ingredient for inducing the activity of disturbing harmful insect behavior; a functional fiber or functional fabrics having, retained thereon, the above behavior disturbance inducing agent for harmful insects; and a functional textile product comprising the above functional fiber or functional fabrics. Excellent effect of inducing harmful insect behavior disturbance can be exerted at locations of application for a prolonged period of time.
