Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a belt type continuously variable transmission capable of preventing uncomfortableness from imparting to a rider by preventing an engine speed from being rising in starting an engine even if a belt causes aged deterioration. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A gear ratio is controlled by controlling, by an electric motor, a sheave target position (2) corresponding to a target gear ratio (1) determined by a throttle opening and a vehicle speed. Based on a deviation (4) between an actual gear ratio (3) and the target gear ratio (1), feedback correction is added to the sheave target position (2), and an actual sheave position (6) is acquired in a specified running. The difference of the actual sheave position from the target sheave position (2) is added, as an offset value (7), to the sheave target position (2) when a vehicle is stopped, and the sheave position is controlled by using that added value as a new sheave target position.
