Abstract:
Provided is a novel benzoxazine compound which has a low melting point and a low curing reaction temperature and rarely undergo thermal decomposition and therefore has a high weight retention ratio during a curing reaction, and which is useful for the preparation of a highly heat-resistant cured article having a high glass transition temperature. Also provided is a benzoxazine resin which is produced by curing the benzoxazine compound. The benzoxazine compound according to the present invention is represented by formula (1). The benzoxazine resin according to the present invention is a cured product of a heat-curable resin raw material containing the benzoxazine compound. [In formula (1), R represents an alkylene group, an aralkylene group, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a sulfonyl group; and Ar represents an arylene group.]
