Abstract:
Provided is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film which has high rigidity, has excellent heat resistance even at the high temperature of 150˚C, can easily retain a bag shape when used as a packaging bag, exhibits little pitch shift during printing and few wrinkles in seal parts when heat sealing has been performed thereon. The relationship between the loop stiffness stress (S[mN]) and the thickness (t[µm]) of the biaxially oriented polypropylene film satisfies the following formula in the length direction thereof, S≥0.00020×t3, and the following formula in the width direction thereof, S≥0.0010×t3. The biaxially oriented polypropylene film has a heat shrinkage at 150˚C of at most 10% in the length direction thereof and at most 30% in the width direction thereof, and has a heat shrinkage at 120˚C of at most 2.0% in the length direction thereof and at most 5.0% in the width direction thereof. The heat shrinkage at 120˚C in the length direction thereof is smaller than the heat shrinkage at 120˚C in the width direction thereof.
