Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a binder and a binder mechanism that can generate powerful pressing force by means of a pressing plate and of first and second rod members that are erected at an interval in the width direction at a left end section so as to be perpendicularly upright and parallel; and a binder and a binder mechanism that comprise a friction plate that can generate frictional force that holds bound items. [Solution] A binder (1) that comprises: a cover member (2); base plates (4) that are fixed to an inner surface of the cover member (2); first and second rod members (5, 6) that are erected at a right-left interval on the base plates (4) so as to be perpendicularly upright and parallel; pressing plates (7) that are for pressing bound items (S) toward the base members (4), that have the first and second rod members (5, 6) inserted therethrough, and that can move toward and away from the base plates (4); and lock mechanisms (8) that can lock the pressing plates (7) onto the first and/or second rod members (5, 6) at an arbitrary position in the length direction of the first and second rod members (5, 6) such that the pressing plates (7) are immobile in the direction away from base plates (4).
