Abstract:
Disclosed are: a biochip capable of detecting, with high sensitivity, a substance to be measured; and a method for detecting the substance to be measured using the same. In the biochip, a selectively bindable substance capable of selectively binding to a substance to be measured is immobilized on the surface of a substrate via a polymer including a unit represented by formula (Ia) or formula (Ib). In formula (Ia) and formula (Ib), R1 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R2 represents R3, OR4, or NHR5, R3 and R5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R6 represents an alkylene group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, and R7 and R8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
