Provided in the present invention is a biodegradable polyester fabric and a preparation method thereof. Rapid biodegradation of textile materials in soil can be achieved by adding biodegradable additive into PET. This has advantages such as environmental protection. Moreover, the PET can be selected from different raw materials. When choosing a recyclable PET bottle, a PET package, or a polyester fabric, the waste PET bottle, the PET package, or the polyester fabric can be recycled and reused, and same can be made as a biodegradable type, wherein this can not only reduce economic costs, but also has multiple advantages, such as environmental protection. In the biodegradable polyester fabric of the present invention, a dye additive can also be added while adding the biodegradable additive, thereby preparing a biodegradable polyester fabric with dye doping, avoiding the generation of dye wastewater, and achieving environmental protection purposes. Moreover, the preparation cost can be reduced and a new biodegradable polyester fabric can be obtained.
