Abstract:
A biodegradable resin composition containing a polyester resin and one or more compounds selected from nitrogen compounds represented by general formula (I) and salts thereof (however, excluding (RS)-1-methyl-2-nitro-3-[(3-tetrahydrofuryl)methyl]guanidine), wherein the glass transition temperature of the polyester resin is 40°C or lower, the compound content is 0.1-70 wt% (inclusive), and the molecular weight of the compound is less than 10,000. (In the formula, R, R', and R" each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted monovalent organic group.) A biodegradable resin composition having a rapid biodegradation rate and high biodegradability, particularly a biodegradable resin composition having a rapid biodegradation rate and high biodegradability in the ocean, can be provided.
