Abstract:

Biological component measuring equipment (1) capable of, as the whole of the equipment, easily performing reliable calibration and thus capable of accurate measuring of biological components; and a method of calibration by the biological component measuring equipment. There is provided a biological component measuring equipment structured so as to feed a sample containing biological fluid collected by biological fluid sampling unit (3a) through sample flow channels (11a,11d,11e) to sensor (5) by means of pump (10b) to thereby attain measuring of the biological components of the sample, wherein calibration fluid flow channel (11h) for feedingof a calibration fluid and first flow channel switch valve (9b) connecting the calibration fluid flow channel with the sample flow channels are disposed upstream of the pump along the sample flow channels so that by switching of the first flow channel switch valve, the calibration fluid is introduced through the calibration fluid flow channel and the sample flow channels in the sensor, thereby carrying out calibration of the sensor.
