Abstract:
A blade cleaning device is provided with: a plate-shaped member having a tip ridgeline part capable of being in sliding contact with a cleaned surface of a doctor blade to which print material is attached; and a movement mechanism that relatively moves the plate-shaped member with respect to the doctor blade in a scraping direction, wherein the plate-shaped member is arranged such that a ridgeline direction of the tip ridgeline part is not parallel to the cleaned surface, and the tip ridgeline part of the plate-shaped member slides on the cleaned surface to scrape off the print material as the plate-shaped member is caused to relatively move by the movement mechanism.
