Abstract:
The present invention relates to a blind rivet having sufficient airtightness and watertightness with a single blind rivet. This blind rivet (1) is provided with a rivet body (10) and a mandrel (30). The rivet body (10) has a flange (16), a flange taper portion (15), and a sleeve, and has a bottomed hole (18) formed at the bottom of the sleeve from the surface of the flange (16). The mandrel (30) has a head portion (31), a head taper portion (32), a U-shaped groove portion (33) with a U-shaped groove, a breakable portion (35) and a circular column portion (37). The head portion (31) of the mandrel (30) is disposed at the bottom of the bottomed hole (18) of the rivet body (10) and a shaft portion extends from the upper surface of the flange (16) of the rivet body (10). The sleeve of the rivet body (10) has an uneven portion (13) of an uneven shape, and the head portion (31) of the mandrel (30) is held at the bottom of the bottomed hole (18) of the rivet body (10) by the uneven portion (13). The mandrel (30) is pulled out and the diameter of the sleeve is enlarged by the head taper portion (32) to seal a base body between an enlarged diameter portion (21) and the flange.
